CHINA TOURIST VISA (TYPE L)

China tourist visa is issued to a foreign citizen who comes to china for tourist purpose family visit or other personal affairs. For China single entry tourist visas you must enter within 3 months from date of issuance of visa. For double entry visas you must enter China within 6 months from date of issuance of visa. China does not issue multiple entry tourist visas. A child who is under the age of 6 and was not born in China and of Chinese origin applies for a Chinese visa with a foreign passport, the child's birth certificate which must show the parent's name and the permanent residence permit or certificate of nationality of the resident country from one of his or her parent should be provided.

CHINA VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR UK PASSPORT HOLDERS FOR SINGLE/DOUBLE ENTRY TOURIST VISAS:

Passport validity of at least 6 months for a single entry visa, and 9 months for a double entry visa with two blank pages
|
- one recent passport quality photo on a light background (45mm x 35mm)

- Copy of flight reservations or tickets, itinerary
- Copy of confirmed hotel reservation issued by the hotel
- Staying with friend or family a signed personal invitation letter which includes your name and passport number contact information of the host and visitor, purpose and duration of the visit, confirmation of accommodation including the address, signature and date. You will also need to provide proof of the host's status in China. Copy of their China passport's and information page, or, if they are not a citizen of China, copies of their China residence permit and their national passport's and information page.
